CONWAY - Hendrix's Jacob Moody has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Moody helped anchor the Warriors defense in Hendrix's 41-20 Homecoming win over Centenary on Saturday afternoon, finishing with 2.5 sacks and 5 total tackles. The senior also blocked a Centenary field goal late in the first half to preserve the Warriors' 14-12 lead going into halftime.

This is Moody's first-career SCAC Player of the Week honor.

Hendrix's defense allowed just 15 Centenary first downs and turned the Gents over twice, limiting the visitors to just 252 yards of total offense.

Moody and the Warriors will hit the road this weekend to face Texas Lutheran at 1:00 PM in Seguin, Texas.
