CONWAY - A day after being named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's Offensive Player of the Week, Westin Bruce has also been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The nation's leading receiver had a standout night against Schreiner on Saturday night in Kerrville, hauling in three touchdown grabs and going off for 196 yards in the Warriors' 49-42 win at Antler Stadium. Bruce three touchdowns came on receptions of 58, 52, and 50 yards, including the go-ahead touchdown midway through the third quarter to give Hendrix its first lead of the night.

Saturday's performance took the senior wideout up to 691 yards on the year to go with 6 touchdown receptions. He currently leads all of NCAA Division III in total receiving yards and receiving yards per game, and his 6 touchdowns ranks tied for 7th nationally.

This is Bruce's second time being named to D3football.com's Team of the Week. He earned the national honor for the first time last season for his 224-yard outing against Millsaps.

Bruce and the Warriors return home off a three-game road stretch to host Centenary on October 10 for Homecoming. Kick-off is set for 1:00 PM at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.
