CONWAY - Demarkus Crain has been named the SCAC Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Crain had a career-day in Hendrix's 42-32 win over Austin College, rushing for 133 yards on 15 carries to go along with two touchdowns. The Mississippi native was one-half of Hendrix's two-headed rushing attack on Saturday, combining with Kobey Wall, who had 100 yards on 10 carries, to mark the first time in modern program history that Hendrix had two 100+ yard rushers in the same contest. The Warriors out-rushed Austin College 281-244 on the day and ran for four scores.

This is Crain's first player-of-the-week honor of his career. He and the Warriors will be back in action this weekend as they head to Memphis to face off with Rhodes in a non-conference bout on Saturday evening at Crain Field.
