CONWAY - Mary Addisyn Stubbs has been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Stubbs contributed three strong defensive performances in Hendrix's 2-1 weekend at the SCAC crossover event in Seguin, Texas, and even made a little history in the process. The senior averaged 5.18 digs per set across 11 sets played, and tallied 27 digs in Hendrix's five-set win over the University of St. Thomas (Texas) on Saturday afternoon. On Saturday night, she recorded 15 digs against Concordia Texas to take her over the 1000 dig mark in her career.

Stubbs is now just the fifth Warrior all-time to join the prestigious 1000 dig club.

She and the Warriors will get a week off before hosting top-25 East Texas Baptist on Tuesday, October 13 at Grove Gymnasium. First serve is set for 6:00 PM.
