SEARCY - The Hendrix men's and women's track and field programs concluded their 2026 outdoor regular season at the Bryan Phillips Open hosted by Harding University over the weekend.
The Warriors saw season-bests and a couple records fall in several events as they gear up for the SCAC Championships in two weeks' time.
B Adams broke her own school record in the women's hammer with a 45.56m throw, finishing seventh in the event.
Ember Hughes also set a new program record in the women's 100 meters, clocking in at 12.53 to finish fifth in the event. Adams finished top-10 in the shot (10th - 11.43m) and discus (9th - 37.37m) as well. Hughes also placed third in the javelin with a 36.57m throw.
Dee Woods finished third the men's high jump with a 1.83m, and
Miguel Manners finished eighth in the men's triple jump with a 12.38m.
Jayvian Coulter recorded a 14.21m toss in the shot to finish seventh, and finished twelth in the men's javelin with a 44.54m throw. In the men's discus,
Tristian Johnson placed tenth with a 41.42m.
On the track,
Westin Bruce turned in a 21.54 in the men's 200 meters to finish 9th and set a new personal best. Bruce finished seventh in the men's 100 meters with a 10.65, while
Brooks McGee finished 16th with a 10.91. In the men's 110 hurdles,
William Andrews finished fifth with a 15.21.
Senior
Owen Lien recorded a top ten finish in the men's 800 meters with a 1:57.46.
The men's 4x100 relay team of
Miguel Manners, McGee,
Jaedin Kim, and Bruce finished fourth with a 41.49.
On the women's side,
Ava Clark clocked a 27.51 in the 200 meters to narrowly miss out on the top ten finishers. Arianne Ricaurte also just missed out on a top ten finish in the women's 400 hurdles, finished eleventh with a 1:21.55.
