ABILENE, Texas — The Hendrix men's track and field program secured multiple top finishes at the 2026 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships, highlighted by
Westin Bruce's victory in the men's 100 meters with a time of 10.45 seconds.
Sprints
Westin Bruce secured first place in the Men's 100 Meters finals with a time of 10.45 seconds to break his own school record. He also placed third in the Men's 200 Meters finals, clocking in at 21.25 seconds, to set another program record. In the Men's 4 x 100 Relay, Hendrix finished fifth with a time of 41.66 seconds.
Middle Distance
Owen Lien finished third in the Men's 800 Meters finals, recording a time of 1:54.86, a new program record. In the Men's 1500 Meters, the Warriors' best performance was by
John Yarberry, who placed 34th with a time of 5:00.38.
Hurdles
William Andrews placed fifth in the Men's 110 Hurdles finals with a time of 15.09 seconds.
Jumps
In the Men's High Jump, Dee Woods placed seventh with a height of 1.87m.
Throws
In the Men's Shot Put,
Tristian Johnson placed fourth with a throw of 14.01m, while
Jayvian Coulter finished fifth with a mark of 13.53m. Johnson also placed third in the Men's Discus with a throw of 42.79m and eighth in the Men's Hammer with a mark of 37.23m. Coulter placed ninth in the Men's Javelin with a throw of 44.60m.
