LA CROSSE, Wis. - Westin Bruce capped off his remarkable track and field season with the running of the men's 100 meters at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Friday.
The junior placed sixth in his heat with a 10.66 and finished 19th overall to mark his first NCAA Championships appearance. Bruce qualified for nationals due to his impressive showing at the 2026 SCAC Championships in late April in which he set a new program-best in the 100 meters with a 10.41, which put him atop the podium.
Bruce was one of two Hendrix student-athletes to compete at the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Championships, joining thrower B Adams, who competed in the women's discus on Thursday.
