Westworth Village, Texas (April 21st, 2026) - It was a long, wet day for everyone at Hawks Creek as weather put the final round in jeopardy today. At 2:30ish PM, officials came to an agreement that the tournament continues with a few tweaks, only playing nine. The Warriors would end the tournament in 7th, but history would be made today. 

Oliver Naumann became the first Hendrix golfer to win individual medalist in a conference championship in the NCAA era. Naumann is the first golfer since Justin Long in 2004 to finish 1st in the SCAC tournament. In not ideal conditions and a field that was steadily moving up the board, Naumann saved his most clutch performance for today, going +1 and winning by one stroke. Oliver also earned All-SCAC First Team and SCAC Elite 19, which celebrates academic and athletic achievement, which Naumann has a long list in both. Naumann now awaits to see if his college career is done, as he hopes to have done enough to qualify for Nationals. 

Naumann was consistent on the front nine, scoring par up until 9, where he bogeyed. That would prove to be enough to get the tournament win. 

Cole Jones finished T29th, shooting +1. Jones was even all the way up until 7, where Jones double bogeyed. Jones would respond with a birdie on 8 and par out to finish +1. 

Tyler Morton finished T32nd, shooting +3. Morton would sink two birdies on the day to end his day +3. 

Michael Young finished T39th, shooting +7. Young would record three pars and a birdie to end his tournament day +7. 

William Baker was able to move up two spots in finish 41st, shooting +1. Baker would follow suit with his senior teammate and shot even up until 9, where he would bogey to end +1.
