CONWAY, Ark. – The Hendrix College men's basketball team lost to Sewanee – University of the South 73-69 in overtime at Grove Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon. Before the game, the Warriors honored their two seniors – guard

Dayton Sheridan of Aledo, Texas.
The loss ends the Warriors' regular season with an 8-17 overall record and 3-11 mark in Southern Athletic Association play. They will be the sixth seed at the SAA Tournament in Danville, Ky. and will face #3 Birmingham-Southern College on Friday.
The Tigers (17-8, 8-6) led the entire first half and took a 35-29 lead into the break. In the second half, Sewanee led 52-44 with 9:33 left in regulation before Hendrix went on a 10-1 run over the next 2:12 to go up 54-53. The Warriors picked up five points from freshman guard
Drew Nikolovski and a three-point play by Riley during that stretch.
The teams battled back and forth, tying the game six different times in the final minutes of the half. With the Tigers up 63-60, Riley converted a three-point play with 35.3 seconds left in the game to force overtime.
In the extra frame, Riley and Nikolovoski hit back-to-back baskets, giving Hendrix a 67-63 lead with 3:34 remaining. Keshonn Carter hit a pair of free throws and Brett Bouldin scored a basket on back-to-back possessions for Sewanee to tie it at 67-67 with 2:19 left. After another Carter free throw, Riley hit a pair of his own to give Hendrix a 69-68 lead at 1:29. Leo Born drained a three with 20 seconds left to give Sewanee a two-point lead.
After a timeout, the Warriors missed their layup and were forced to foul. Born hit the final free throws with four seconds left on the clock to give Sewanee the four-point win.
For the game, Hendrix shot 42 percent (24-of-57) overall, 3-of-15 from outside and 18-of-20 at the line. Sewanee shot 42 percent (25-of-59), 7-of-16 from three-point range and 16-of-26 at the stripe. The Tigers held a 42-32 rebound advantage.
Riley, playing in his final game at home, scored 23 points and went 9-of-9 at the free throw line. He also recorded three assists, three rebounds and two steals. Sheridan netted four points, three rebounds, a steal and blocked a season-high three shots. Junior forward
Colton Primm scored 14 points and pulled down 11 rebounds. Nikolovski finished with nine points and three assists and freshman
Alec Conard scored eight points and grabbed six boards.
Born led Sewanee with 14 points and eight rebounds. Carter had 11 points and Valentino Bryant recorded 10 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
