Canton, Ga. - On Tuesday, the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) named the recipients of the league's weekly Athlete of the Week awards, with Hendrix's Camy McKenzie winning Offensive Athlete of the Week for women's soccer.

McKenzie tallied 4 points over Hendrix's first two matches to help the Warriors to a 2-0 record to start the year.

In their regular season opener versus the University of Dallas, McKenzie assisted the winning goal in the 81st minute in a 2-1 victory. Two days later, she once again was pulling the strings, this time against McMurry, and got the assist in Hendrix's opening goal of the match. Then, with five seconds remaining in regulation, McKenzie found the go-ahead goal with a right-footed effort from the top of the box to seal the win.

McKenzie and the Warriors will be back in action this Thursday as they host the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff at Warrior Soccer Field.
