Danville, Ky. - Hendrix College's men's and women's swimming and diving programs wrapped up the 2025 SAA Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday evening at Champions Hall on the campus of Centre College with several impressive performances. The men's team finished 5th with 379.5 points while the women's team finished sixth with 205 points.
Zane Shaner won Friday's Men's 100 Yard Butterfly with a program record time of 49.76.
Cece Werth finished sixth in the Women's 200 Yard Freestyle with a time of 1:57.92. The women's 400 Yard Medley Relay team, made up of Werth,
Allyna Bright,
Emma Sampson-Green, and
Elizabeth Barry, finished sixth (4:24.40).
In the men's 400 Yard Medley Relay,
Owen Vennerholm,
Tyler Hinrichsen,
Nick Allen, and Shaner led Hendrix to a fifth place finish (3:31.15).
Saturday proved to be a day of highlights for the Water Warriors. On Saturday, Vennerholm won the Men's 50 Yard backstroke with a time of 24.92.
Peter Garrison took home first in the Men's 100 Yard Freestyle, while freshman
CJ Pratt capped off his debut at the championships by winning the Men's 50 Yard Free.
Shaner set another program record, this time in the Men's 100 Yard IM with a time of 52.86. He would also finish third in the Men's 200 Yard Fly, while Hinrichsen finished eighth in the Men's 200 Yard Backstroke. In the Men's 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, Shaner, Allen, Hinrichsen, and
Diogo Sa led Hendrix to a fourth place finish.
Konner Schneider completed the Men's 1650 Yard Free with a time of 10:29.04 to finish seventh.'
