Kalinowski Awarded NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

Indianapolis, IN – Hendrix College is excited to announce that Agustin Kalinowski, men's tennis standout for the last four seasons, has been awarded a prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship for the spring 2024-25 sports season, receiving a $10,000 scholarship following his final year of athletic eligibility. This honor is among the highest academic and athletic distinctions awarded by the NCAA.

The NCAA awards 42 such scholarships to student-athletes, representing spring sports across all three NCAA divisions, have demonstrated remarkable academic achievements, athletic excellence and leadership within their communities.

"His receipt of the NCAA postgraduate scholarship is a testament to the kind of athlete and person he is—someone who exemplifies the values we strive to instill in our athletics department and the tennis program. I'm incredibly proud of Agustin, and I know this is just the beginning of his bright future ahead."


Kalinowski was a four time All-SAA First Team Selection during his time at Hendrix, also being named 2023 SAA Player of the Year. Kalinowski was a double major, studying Biology & Spanish and kept a 4.00 GPA during his four years. He was a 4x All-SAA Academic Honor Roll selection as well as a making the Hendrix College Dean's List all four years. Kalinowski will be studying at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Each year, the NCAA awards 126 postgraduate scholarships to student-athletes who have completed their final year of athletics competition. The scholarships are distributed three times annually — in the fall, winter and spring — providing 21 scholarships each to men and women per season. The award is a one-time, nonrenewable scholarship aimed at funding graduate study at an accredited institution.


Established in 1964, the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship program promotes and encourages graduate education by recognizing the Association's most accomplished student-athletes. The program evaluates candidates on their athletic and academic achievements, campus involvement, community service and leadership. An equitable selection process ensures that all nominees, regardless of sport, division, gender or race, are considered fairly.
