SUWANEE, Ga. - After a stellar showing at the Ozarks Tri-Meet on Saturday, Hendrix garnered four SCAC weekly awards, with
Emj Hubbard,
Owen Vennerholm,
Cece Werth, and
AJ Windsor all earning honors.
Hubbard scored 418.20 in the women's 1-meter dive (11), meeting the required score to qualify for Regionals. This marks her third weekly award of the season.
Vennerholm came close to a season-best in the 50 yard backstroke while winning the event with a time of 25.73. The junior also won the 100 backstroke (56.12), six seconds ahead of the runner-up.
Werth split the SCAC Women's Swimmer of the Week award with Ozarks' Jessie Wright. The senior came close to season-bests in both the 200 free (2:02.33) and the 100 free (57.22), winning both events.
Windsor scored a 449.95 to win the 1-meter dive and become the first Hendrix diver to qualify for Regionals in recent memory, marking a major career milestone for the freshman as well as a program milestone for the Warriors. This marks his sixth weekly award of the season.
The Water Warriors now have their sights set on conference and will head to Garland Texas in a couple weeks' time to compete at the 2026 SCAC Swimming and Diving Championships.
