MGOLF | Naumann & Men win Hal Sutton Invitational

Bossier City, LA (3/17/2026) - It was a chilly and very windy two days down in Bossier City for the men who competed in the Hal Sutton Invitational at the Golf Course at StoneBridge hosted by Centenary. The conditions were not ideal for any golfer, but the Warriors were able to make the most out of the elements and won their first tournament of the modern era. The Warriors were able to win by one stroke with a total score of 612 (312 + 300) of 11 teams including wins over two ranked teams according to Clippd.

Oliver Naumann had a stellar two days, shooting +1 on the first day. Naumann continued his stellar tournament on day two, scoring an eagle to go into the back nine -2. Naumann made things interesting down the stretch, shooting E to end the day and set up a playoff match. Naumann responded the best way possible, birdieing the first hole of the playoff to earn his first collegiate tournament win.

Michael Young had a career tournament, setting career bests in tournament finish and low round score. Young ended the first day +7 on the first day, but had a remarkable second day to finish within the Top 10. Young started the second day with a double bogey before erupting on the front nine, sinking two back-back birdies and finishing +1 on the front nine. Big Mike ended the tournament shooting E for the tournament and finishing T6th, both were career bests.

Tyler Morton found himself in the Top 25, finishing 16th. Morton finished the first day shooting +6. Morton had a solid second day, adding five birdies to his scorecard to finish +5 for the second day.

William Baker finished the tournament T32nd, shooting +17. Amid the rough conditions, Baker was able to add five birdies to his scorecard for the two days.

Cole Jones rounded out the men's team, finishing T39th and shooting +22. Jones was able to add two birdies to his scorecard over the past two days.
