Hall of Honor
A graduate of C.E. Byrd High School in Shreveport, Louisiana, Bonnie Hicks McDonnell arrived at Hendrix in the fall of 2003, where she began coursework toward her degree in economics and business while building impressive career stats on the basketball court: 1,438 points (13.7 per game), 650 rebounds (6.2 per game), 183 assists, 79 blocks, 101 steals, 50.3 field goal percentage (602 of 1,197), and a free throw percentage of 78.4 (225 of 287).
During her senior season with the Warriors she was named to the AllConference First Team, averaging 18.9 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, with a .552 average for field goals. Her other honors include being named to the 2006-07 AII-SCAC First Team, the 2005-06 AII-SCAC Third Team, garnering a 2004-05 AII-SCAC Honorable Mention, and a spot on the 2004 SCAC All-Tournament Team. In addition, she was named to the 2006-07 D3hoops.com All-South Region Second Team and was a twotime SCAC Player of the Week. McDonnell remains in the top 10 of several Hendrix statistical categories: fifth in Hendrix career history in scoring, seventh in scoring average, first in field goals made, sixth in field goal percentage, eighth in free throw percentage, tied for eighth in rebounding, fourth in blocked shots and fifth in blocks per game. She holds a season record with 200 field goals made in 2006-07.
