H.S. "Boots" Coleman, class of 1938, lettered three years in football, four years in basketball, and four years in track for Hendrix. He received the Robertson Award as the best all-around athlete as a sophomore. During his senior year as basketball captain, Coleman led the Arkansas conference in scoring. He was also an outstanding basketball official.
