Hendrix College Athletics

Roger Bates, class of ’57, lettered two years for the Warriors in football, four years in basketball (All-AIC in 1957), and four years in track. For two years, he was the AIC high jump champion. In 1957, Bates was awarded the Hugh Robertson Outstanding Athlete award at Hendrix and the AAU Neil Martin Trophy as the outstanding Arkansas Amateur Athlete.
