Don Weir (Class of 1965) of Little Rock was a four-year track letterman participating in the 100 yard dash, 220 yard dash, sprint relays, and long jump. He was consistently the Warriors’ high-point man throughout his career. As a freshman, Weir ran on the third place 880 yard relay team and was second in the long jump at the AIC Championship Meet. As a sophomore, he was first in the long jump, second in the 220 yard dash, and third in the 100 yard dash. His junior year Weir suffered a near career-ending injury and was unable to participate in the AIC Championships. During his senior year he placed second in the long jump and third in the 220 yard dash at the AIC Championships. Weir holds the all-time Hendrix records in the 100 yard dash with a time of 9.7 seconds and in the 200 yard dash with a time of 21.5 seconds.
