Hendrix College Athletics

Katherine “Kat” Womack established herself as one of the Warriors’ all-time softball greats. Her achievements in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) and on the Hendrix College team made history. Her performance in 2005-06 earned her an All-SCAC First Team selection. Kat’s impact during the 2005 SCAC Tournament led to her selection for the SCAC All-Tournament team. She also made the SCAC Academic Honor Roll in 2005 and 2007.

Coaches selected her for the 2006-07 Carl Babcock Award in recognition of her athletic ability, leadership, integrity, and Warrior spirit.

From a statistical standpoint, she knocked the ball out of the park—literally and metaphorically. Her 182 hits set a Hendrix College record, which she still holds. Kat was the team thief, stealing 18 bases, some of which contributed to her scoring 111 times. While batting with an average of .359, she had 36 doubles, 12 triples, and one home run. She still ranks fourth in batting average, and holds the single season record of 55 hits during the 2006 season.
