Paul Henry, from Fayetteville, Ark., was a four-year swimming letterman and excellent student-athlete who held school records in the 100 freestyle (46.55), the 200 freestyle (1:44.74), the 50 breaststroke (27.64), the 400 freestyle relay (3:12.1), the 800 freestyle relay (7:10.60), the 200 medley relay (1:39.98, and the 400 medley relay (3:39.03). All but one of the records are still standing.

Paul took first-place honors with his teammates in the AIC 200 medley relay in 1985 and in 1986 in the 400 freestyle relay. In 1985, he was selected as CSCA All-American NAIA Division in the 800 freestyle relay, the 100 breaststroke, the 100 freestyle, and the 400 freestyle relay and was named as Honorable Mention All-American NAIA in the 400 medley relay.

Paul was recognized as NAIA Honorable Mention All-American in the 100 freestyle in 1986. In 1988 Henry was named as CSCA All-American Honorable Mention NAIA in the 100 freestyle and in the 400 freestyle relay. He was named All-AIC for four consecutive years and was an NAIA Scholar Athlete.

Currently, Paul is an ophthalmologist in Fayetteville, Ark. , where he lives with his wife, Dr. Mary Jo Thomas Henry ’88, and their children, Charles, Andrew and Catherine.
